Commiphora Africana plant or «Baddi in Peulh language» is a species in the family Burseraceae. The plant is a bush shrub or small tree with short trunk and tangled branches, mainly found abundantly in Africa but also in many other continents, in savannah wood land and drier parts. Commiphora is a deciduous tree that grows up to 6 meters in height but the bowl is generally short, and the bark is grey or greenish on the bowl, reddish on the branches, peeling off in thin papery strips.

Risks and hazards of Commiphora myrrh:

It is advised to not consume high amounts of myrrh as it can potentially cause severe heart irregularities. People who have sensitive skin may develop allergic dermatitis. Pregnant women should avoid taking myrrh by mouth as it may be a cause of miscarriage. Side effects of myrrh may include making a fever worse, heart problems, lowering blood pressure, uterine bleeding.
